Winter 2006 - 2007 
This is a quick update on the status of the quest for a boat landing on LaMotte Lake. At the annual meeting in July a committee was appointed for the purpose of seeking a site for a boat landing. Daryl Bzdawka, the chairman of that committee, attended the most recent meeting of the Menominee County Board. He was assured by the county board chairman and the county administrator that property for a landing would be provided. He was also told by the DNR that by law we have to be provided with a landing for which there is government grant money available. The process is in motion. I feel confident that the continuing efforts of the appointed committee will get this matter resolved.
